Simon Stephens began his theatrical career in the literary department of the Royal Court Theatre, where he ran its Young Writers’ Programme. Simon Stephens’ plays for the National Theatre include The Threepenny Opera (in a new adaptation), The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (also West End and Broadway; Olivier and Tony awards), Port (originally produced at the Royal Exchange), Harper Regan and On the Shore of the Wide World (co-production with Royal Exchange; Olivier Award). His many other plays include Song from Far Away, Heisenberg, Birdland, Blindsided, Three Kingdoms, Wastwater, Punk Rock, Seawall, Pornography, Motortown, Country Music, Christmas, Herons, Bluebird, A Thousand Stars Explode in the Sky (co-written with Robert Holman and David Eldridge); he has written English language versions of Jon Fosse’s I am the Wind; Odon Von Horvath’s Kasimir and Karoline (titled Funfair) and Anton Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard. His version of Ibsen’s A Doll’s House for the Young Vic transferred to the West End and then New York in 2014. His book A Working Diary is published by Methuen.

Sophia Jin – Lucy Francis
Sophia Jin is a 13 year-old girl from Toronto. She loves writing, drama and music. She won the Marjorie Pickthall award, an annual writing contest at her school, The Bishop Strachan School. Sophia enjoys reading and playing the violin. She has competed in many violin competitions across Toronto and has won numerous awards. She likes dancing, previously training at The National Ballet of Canada School from 2010 to 2017. Sophia currently keep writing and publishing her works on a website, Wattpad, gaining almost 15,000 reads from all over the world.

Marleigh is 13 years old. She sang with the Toronto Children’s Chorus for 4 years and now sings and writes her own music. She is working on her Royal Conservatory of Music – Grade 6 vocal exam. Last year Marleigh played Fiona in the UCC show “Shrek the Musical”. She loves acting and hopes to do more of it.
